White Boy Rick is the true story of Richard Wershe Jr. Weshe entered the drug game, rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest players in the game, and became the youngest FBI informant ever recorded in history at the age of 14-years old. At the age of 17, with the FBI no longer needing him, Weshe began dealing in drugs himself. He was arrested in 1987 for possessing more than 8 kilos of cocaine. He was handed down a prison sentence of “life”, and is still in prison to this day…….31 years later. Set in cocaine’s 1980’s golden age, White Boy Rick stars Matthew McConaughey, Richie Merritt, and Bel Powley . The movie comes to US theaters this fall. Check out the trailer below:
