Today Walmart proudly announced that due to the new great tax bill, they would raise their minimum pay to $11/hour. What Walmart (who owns Sams Club) didn’t announce was the unexpected, and without notice, closing of Sams Club stores across the Country.

9 WPCO Cincinnati (@wcpo) reports, two Sams Club stores in the tri-state closed on Thursday without notice to the public. Both locations were removed from the corporate website. Pharmacies at both locations will remain open through Jan. 26th.

Employees of the store’s two locations commented on WCPO’s Facebook page and said they had no notice of the closure before receiving a letter in the mail.

News outlets across the nation have been reporting the same thing about Sams Club stores in their areas, including Memphis, Houston, and New Jersey who all saw unannounced closures of Sams Club stores this morning.
