The new Marvel movie Black Panther has topped Marvel’s list of top advanced ticket sales. Advance ticket sales for Black Panther has topped fellow Marvel production “Captain America Civil Wars” in the first 24 hours of advanced ticket sales. Advanced ticket sales opened Monday night after the movie’s national televised promo ad during the College football National Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia. The film opens Feb. 16th.
Variety (@variety) reports, advanced sales for Disney-Marvel’s “Black Panther” have set a new record for Fandango as the top seller among Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in the first 24 hours, topping “Captain America Civil War.”
“Black Panther is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now. It’s one of the biggest and most anticipated movies to ever open in the month of February, and it’s trailers have electrified the internet. Tickets have been going fast ever since pre-sales started on Fandango late Monday.” Fandango editor Erik Davis said.
Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, who takes over as the king of Wakanda after his father T’Chaka is killed, as shown in “Captain America Civil War.” The film also stars Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, and Michael B.
