Meek Mill has been granted a new bail hearing, after being sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for parole violations last week.

6abc News Philly (@6abc) reports, Meek is scheduled to appear before judge Genece Brinkley on November 27th. Brinkley is the same judge who sentenced Meek to the 2-4 year bid upstate. There was a rally to protest Meek’s sentence that took place in Center City Philadelphia this week. Some big names came out in support of Meek, including label-mate Rick Ross, Philly rapper Freeway, and even former 76ers icon Julius Erving. Many believe the 2-4 year prison term handed down by the judge is unfair, especially for a violation and not for catching a new charge.

***UPDATE***

As of Friday evening, Philadelphia court officials have stated that there was a mix-up in the paperwork about Meek’s new bail hearing. Meek remains behind bars and no date for a new bail hearing or sentencing reconsideration has been set at this time.
