At least five people are dead following a shooting at an elementary school in Northern California this morning (Tuesday November 14th). The LA Times (@latimes) reports, authorities report that the gunman is among the deceased.  Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8 a.m. in Rancho Tehama, about 10 miles NorthWest of Sacramento. Authorities have not yet disclosed how many people were injured in the shooting,

 

 

“At this point, the suspected shooter is deceased by law enforcement bullets.” Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston told reporters. Johnston also said that a number of students had been medically evacuated from the scene. No number of evacuated students was given at the time. Law enforcement officials said that the Rancho Teham area is still on lockdown.
