The president of the United States slapped the U.S Intel Agencies across the face once again. After every Intel Agency in the Country said that Vladimir Putin and Russia tampered in the U.S. presidential election of 2016, and after the United States Congress passed a bi-partisan law into effect to punish Russia for doing so (A law that was signed by the president but never enforced), Donald Trump still says he believes Vladimir Putin when Putin says that he had nothing to do with tampering with the U.S. Presidential election in 2016.
CNN (@cnn) reports, President Trump today suggested that he’s done confronting Russian President Vladimir Putin over his Country’s meddling since it’s insulting to the Russian leader. Trump said he took Putin at his word that Russia did not seek to interfere in the U.S Presidential Elections last year, despite findings from U.S Intelligence Agencies that it did. A Putin spokesperson said election meddling did not come up when the two presidents spoke, even though Trump claimed it did.
“He said he didn’t meddle. He said he didn’t meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times. Every time he sees me he says ‘I didn’t do that. And I believe, that when he tells me that, he means it. I think he is very insulted by it.” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew from Da Nang, Vietnam to Hanoi.
