The Oklahoma City Thunder traveled to Chicago Saturday for a game against the Bulls Saturday night. The Thunder team arrived safely and intact, but the team’s plane did not.
USAToday (@usatoday) reports, the team’s Delta charter plane was damaged during the flight from Minneapolis. Several Thunder players posted pictures of the plane’s damage to their social media pages of the aircraft’s dented nose. A Thunder spokesperson told “The Oklahoman” that all players and staff were safe. A Delta Airlines spokesperson told the newspaper that the plane likely hit a bird while descending. I don’t know what type of bird can cause that kind of damage to an airplane. I’m guessing maybe some breed of pterodactyl of some sort?
