BODY OF FORMER SHARK TANK CONTESTANT PULLED FROM SCHUYLKILL RIVER

The Philadelphia Medical Examiners Office confirmed that a body pulled from the Schuylkill River on Thursday was that of 58 year-old Phillip Reitnour who once appeared on an episode of ABC’s SHARK TANK.

Channel 6 Action news Philadelphia (@6abc) reports that court records show Reitnour was $3 million in debt. The medical examiner has not determined a cause of death at this time. Reitnour was the entrepreneur behind the app Emergensee, featured in an episode in 2014. Reitnour did not receive any funding for his start-up app during his appearance on the show. The Emergensee App gives users the ability to stream live video, audio, and GPS location to Emergensee contacts so they can respond to an emergency situation in real time.
