MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES AND ANDREW WIGGINS AGREE TO CONTRACT EXTENSION

The Minesota Timberwolves and forward Andrew Wiggins have agreed on a 5-year $148 million max contract extension. The 22 year-old averaged 23.6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.3 assist last season while playing in 82 games. Wiggins had five 40+ point games last season, including a 47-point explosion against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 13th.  Wiggins has played in 245 games in his young career, only missing one game. Wiggins joins returning big man, Karl Anthony -Towns on the Timberwolves roster, alongside new editions Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Jamal Crawford and Jeff Teague. The Timberwolves look to make their mark in a very competitive Western Conference this season.
