ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF PAYING THE BILL. PITTSBURGH MAN CALLS IN FAKE BOMB THREAT TO GET OUT OF PAYING RESTAURANT TAB

Seems like people find new and creative reasons to get locked up every day. Today’s creative episode: Calling In A Bomb Threat To Get Out Of Paying A Bill.

That’s exactly what 40 year-old Barry Clapperton did. 6 ABC Philly (@6abc) reports that the Pittsburgh native tried to leave Primanti Brothers Restaurant in Pittsburgh without paying for his meal multiple times before the restaurant called the police. When police arrived, a good samaritan paid the tab for Clapperton. Police were just about to leave and let Clapperton go when they got a call from another nearby restaurant about a bomb threat. Police say they used a stun gun to subdue Clapperton after he ran from the restaurant. Police say Clapperton later acknowledged calling in the fake bomb threat to create a distraction.
