AT LEAST 50 DEAD, OVER 200 INJURED IN MASS SHOOTING IN LAS VEGAS

Details on the mass shooting are still developing and a bit sketchy, but this  is what is being reported thus far. ABC (@abcnews) is reporting that at least 50 people are dead, and the number of injured has now jumped from 200 to over 400, after a man opened fired on a crowd of concertgoers near the Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino in Las Vegas.  22,000 people were attending the country music festival being held across the street from the hotel. People ducked for cover and attempted to climb over gates and fences as the gunfire erupted. One witness described the shooting as hearing “non-stop gunfire.”

 

 

The Las Vegas Police Department said authorities responded to a hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, where police said the suspected gunmen, 64 year-old Stephen Paddock, was dead. Police said they believe Paddock, of Mesquite, Nevada, killed himself before police burst into the room. The motive for the shooting is unclear at this time. On CNN (@CNN) One person who claims to know Paddock said ” he had no political or religious ties of any kind.” So far Paddock’s killing spree has no ties to any type of International terrorism or political affiliation. Last nights mass shooting is the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.
