North Korea’s foreign minister has accused Donald Trump of declaring war on his Country and said Pyongyang now has the right to shoot down US bombers. The North Korean prime minister said that this could also apply to US warplanes that are not even in North Korea’s airspace. The White House called the statements “absurd.” The Pentagon warned Pyongyang to stop provocations. North Korea’s comments were in response to Trump’s Tweet that North Korea’s leaders would not “be around for much longer” if they continued their rhetoric. According to BBC news(UK) (@BBCNEWS), North Korean Prime Minister Ri-Yong-Ho told reporters as he was leaving the UN General Assembly on Saturday “The whole world should clearly remember that it was the U.S. who first declared war on our Country.” The North Korean Prime Minister added “Since the United States declared war on our Country, we will have every right to make counter-measures, including the right to shoot down United States strategic bombers even when they are not inside the airspace border of our Country.” White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was mostly able to avoid and dodge questions about the statement by North Korea’s Prime Minister at the press briefing this afternoon, as the majority of the press corps were more focused on the president’s remarks about NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem to protest police brutality in the Country. Over the weekend at a rally in Alabama the president said that NFL owners should “fire those son of a bitch*s” if they don’t stand for the National Anthem.
